Math

The Streamwood High School Math Department is committed to helping students understand and appreciate math as a valuable tool for solving problems and thinking critically. We foster curiosity by encouraging students to ask questions and explore ideas, while also creating a supportive environment that builds confidence. Through collaboration on group projects, we promote teamwork and recognize that different viewpoints enhance understanding. We connect math to everyday life and various careers, showing students its practical uses. By promoting a growth mindset, we help students see that with effort and practice, they can improve and master math concepts. Our goal is to build a community of learners who appreciate math and recognize its value in their lives and future paths.
