Specialize Student Services

The Special Education Department atStreamwood High School provides needs-based services for students who have been determined eligible for special education under one or more disability classifications.

Instruction within our special education programs is delivered by highly qualified and credentialed special education professionals across all grade levels. Services are offered through a comprehensive range of courses, including cross-categorical direct-instruction classes, targeted reading intervention courses, study skills development classes, and vocational or transition-focused coursework. These programs support students representing a broad spectrum of disability determinations and are available in both English and Spanish, with dedicated assistance for English Language Learners (ELL).
